I predict Esme will return with Spencer this summer - General Hospital

The show loves to surprise us and keep everything under wraps. We rarely get any information on new casting unless it’s a major one like Jaxon. They’ve done this before with characters leaving and coming back I expect the same with Eame!

From what I understand the actress playing Esme chose to leave the role. I think she’s concentrating on school or something.

They could recast. Or they could just leave the witch dead? The latter would be my choice. She is far beyond redemption…

I have looked all over for a report saying what you wrote, but it looks like the decision was GH. But the wording given from the GH spokesman was that Avery Pohl was leaving the role of Esme on GH which to me left open a new character possibly someday. Right now, Trina and Joss are the only young adults on the show we need more college age actors on this show.

I only know Sonny from less than 2 years ago. The only really bad thing I’ve seen him do, so far, was have Dex hung from a meat hook.

There were comments being posted that she made the decision to leave because of school. I haven’t verified any of that. I was just relaying what I had been reading. From what I’ve been reading on the board is that her contract was up and she chose to not renew it.

Oh he’s done a lot worse, I’ve been watching for years. I remember a few years back he was sitting at a big round table with all of the heads of the families and he pulled out a gun and shot somebody dead, even though it’s just a show I don’t think stuff like that should be glorified. He got up went home and went on with his life like nothing.

Sonny’s one of my favorites mostly because of Maurice and his acting. However, some of my least favorite things he did were…

shoot Dante, kill AJ, Ava crypt sex scene, frame Jax during custody case of Joss, choose Nina over Carly…

I want avery phol to return because she’s an amazing talent and it’s rare to find actresses on soap operas like that , however if it means bringing back esme just to kill her off again or make her go on a cartoon villain murder spree or having her keeping spencer hostage just to make spencer likeable again -NO I’m not interested in any of that. Either bring back esme as esme and let her redemption begin or bring her back as a new character but no more using esme as a punching bag to forgive other characters .

She’s an excellent actress but she has gone off to college full-time, that’s why she left. I wish she hadn’t had a part where she’s so hateful and unredeemable. But I stand by what I believe, she had every right to go berserk at the end towards Spencer, he took her baby and gave him to Nicholas, so not rehashing but she was in the right. I hate Spencer’s character and I’m sorry he’s coming back.

I so totally agree with this opinion! I believe we will first see Spencer and Esme together having washed ashore and living somewhere in Europe. They will be living as a couple since “Spence” will have lost his memory from the drug that Esme injected into his body.

I also believe that is why the writers are pushing for Laura and Kevin to adopt Ace so quickly.

If anything Esme should hate Spencer because of what he did with Ace!

Really? I heard she was finishing up her Master’s degree which is why she left the show. Maybe this means she already found a job in doing what she went to school for then. I would be totally okay with the actress who was substituting for Eden while she was out on leave, the actress who played the temporary Joss I think she’d be real good as well.
